Hi everyone
I thought i would write a short "about me" for those newer members.
I'm a 37 year young gamer based near Coventry, UK. I have a family ( 5 kids , countless snakes , frogs, dogs, cats ,crested geckos, tarantula & a hedgehog) I have been gaming since i was a kid and its a hobby and a pastime that i love. I first started streaming after about a year of watching other people rise up the ranks and thought "I could do that" so in May 2015 i pressed that broadcast button for the first time and started streaming Dark Souls 2 on PS4. For the first week or so i was really enjoying the game (that i had already finished 5-6 times on xbox360) and had maybe 3-7 people that would look in on the stream and being watched by people even though that was the aim made me a bit .... nervous
After about 2 weeks of streaming for a few hours i did a whole lot of research concerning streaming , games and set ups etc to make my stream great quality and to be the best broadcaster i could. I asked myself what i wanted to do and how i was gonna do it , i could sit here all day and play single player story driven games but i could understand that it was not always fun for the viewer so i decided i wanted to get the viewers involved in the stream as much as i possibly could. I went out and got Project CARS after watching alot of the game on twitch and seeing what the game was about as i was not the best racing sim fan whether i could play it well or fail miserably , needless to say we did ok on it and before we knew it i was getting a steady 20-30 people per stream which was amazing. I was then raided by Official DoN one day and it scared the bejesus outta me after watching my viewing figures go up to 150+ , it felt like it put pressure on me at the time but i coped and put out some good vibes cause alot of the people that came over with DoN stuck around and enjoyed my streams , which as a streamer is one of the greatest feelings ever. Since then we have grown from strength to strength even though i was diagnosed with testicular cancer in June/July , had my ops end of July and started having Chemotherapy in September i have had to have roughly 6 weeks off due to the side effects i had from the treatment i have lost a bit of ground in gaining followers etc but we are back now and going well.
I had selected a few people to become mods after they all showed there reliability and how loyal they are to me , after almost every stream we have a chat to see how the stream went and if anyone has any ideas on new events or ways to improve the stream. Both my mods and myself are always looking for new mods as the channel grows and even though we tell everyone that you do not "talk about mod club" we are always looking so be chilled in stream and friendly and helpful and we will notice!
We all talk every day whether over stream , twitter , facebook or discord and can genuinely say i have meet true friends. It has helped my not think off my normal life and the things i have gone through this year , my twitch family is the greatest and in a lot of cases they mean more to me than alot of people i have met in real life.
So here is to the future of our stream , we are always looking for ways to improve it and with new games coming out all the time both myself and my mods will endeavor to make it the best stream we possibly can. And hopefully you will stay with us tell your friends , your family and keep coming back....its been amazing and to think we hit 4.5 thousand followers to me is EPIC
THANKYOU !!!!
